It’s been three years since insurrectionists stormed the U.S. Capitol to overturn the 2020 presidential election results — an effort Yvette Herrell proudly co-signed.
Yvette enthusiastically joined extremists by voting to overturn the results in Congress and even bragged about an endorsement from New Mexico Commissioner Couy Griffin, who was later convicted for his role in the insurrection. She didn’t stop there. Yvette doubled down on her support for extremism by accepting a campaign donation from Deborah Maestas, a fake elector who was subpoenaed by the Jan. 6 committee.
When given the opportunity to stand by the fallen officers in the line of duty and work to find justice, Yvette chose to protect an extremist agenda. It’s clear to New Mexicans that she cares more about protecting extremists than delivering on the issues that matter most.
DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“Yvette Herrell can’t hide from her record of failing to stand for the fallen Capitol police officers who lost their lives after the horrific attack that was ignited by her vote to overturn the election results. Herrell’s fourth run for this seat is just sad at this point. New Mexicans know they can’t trust her to defend our democracy over extremism, and will resoundingly reject her lies in November.”
