Today marks the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and anti-abortion extremists like Yvette Herrell are celebrating that Roe was overturned. In fact, Yvette Herrell demanded that the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade.
New Mexican voters proudly support abortion rights, but that didn’t stop Yvette from ignoring her constituents in Congress by:
Being an original co-sponsor of the Life at Conception Act, the federal personhood bill that would ban all abortions and certain types of birth control such as IUDs.
Saying abortion should join “eugenics on the ash heap of history.”
Speaking against the Equal Rights Amendment on anti-abortion grounds.
DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“New Mexicans saw Yvette’s dangerous record of voting to take away their rights and denied her the opportunity to continue her reckless crusade in Congress. Voters don’t want politicians interfering in their personal health care decisions. Yvette will learn that the hard way when she loses in November, again.”
