TODAY: Iowa holds special legislative session to enact extreme abortion ban
Zach Nunn – who is so fervently anti-abortion that he has supported no exceptions for rape, incest, or life of the mother – has paved the way for the Iowa Legislature to restrict abortion access to 6-weeks – in other words, before most women know they are pregnant.
Nunn, who before entering Congress served in the Iowa Legislature, voted for several anti-abortion bills, including the current 20-week abortion ban.
In Congress, the anti-abortion SBA List endorsed freshman has been nothing more than a rubber-stamp for the extreme MAGA Republican agenda by:
Voting against consideration of the Women’s Health Protection Act which would have codified the reproductive freedoms Roe v. Wade guaranteed before the Supreme Court ripped them away.
DCCC spokesperson Courtney Rice:
“Iowans deserve a representative willing to stand up to attacks from the far-right on fundamental rights and freedoms. Unfortunately for Iowa women, Zach Nunn’s extreme position means he’s likely cheering on the state’s efforts to ban abortion. Come next November, he’ll be held accountable for his dangerous, life threatening agenda.”
