Zach Nunn doesn’t show up for Iowans because he’s become a typical politician who just works for Washington, D.C. – while Sarah Trone Garriott is the leader who shows up and works for Iowans.
Refresh your memory on Nunn’s record siding with Washington instead of Iowans:
Zach Nunn has taken millions of dollars from the special interests, voting their way while Iowa families pay more.
Nunn took over $260,000 from the credit card industry and voted to let credit card companies charge fees up to 6 times higher.
He took tens of thousands from Big Pharma, and opposed capping insulin at $35 a month, allowing Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices, while letting insurers deny coverage for people with cancer.
Nunn voted for nearly $1 trillion in health care cuts that have forced multiple rural hospitals in Iowa to close. In a pathetic attempt to defend his vote, Nunn said in his own words that it is a “myth” that hospitals would be at risk of closing down due to his Medicaid cuts.
Nunn serves on the committee that’s supposed to hold China accountable, but skipped nearly half the hearings and pushed a bill that would expand China’s share of the U.S. pork market at Iowa farmers’ expense.

Iowa News Now: “Two Iowa Democrats are teaming up to introduce a couple bills to impose term limits on lawmakers and forbid them from trading stocks while in office… State Sen. Sarah Trone Garriott (D-West Des Moines) said in a press release Thursday the legislation is meant to shakeup the political establishment and restore public trust and integrity in state government by ‘preventing power from becoming too deeply entrenched.’”
