Rep. Angie Craig’s Efforts Lead to Lower Drug Costs

Thanks to Congresswoman Angie Craig’s leadership, the Biden Administration has announced the first set of prescription drugs to be subject to Medicare price negotiations under the Inflation Reduction Act – legislation championed by Congresswoman Craig and opposed by every single House Republican that would bring down the price of prescription drugs, cap the cost of insulin, and lower health care premiums.

Congresswoman Craig has continuously advocated for allowing Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices and has led the charge to lower health care costs for Minnesotans, including introducing legislation to cap the out-of-pocket cost of insulin at $35 per month and to lower premium costs by an estimated eight percent.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Since day one, Congresswoman Angie Craig has worked tirelessly to lower prescription drug costs for hard working families and today’s announcement serves as yet another reminder that her leadership is delivering real results for Minnesotans.”
