Rep. Paulsen Caves to Public Pressure, Will Hold First Town Hall in More Than 6 Years

After years of calls for public accountability, including from his DFL opponent Dean Phillips, Rep. Paulsen has finally caved pressure and will hold his first town hall in over 6 years.

DCCC Spokesperson Rachel Irwin released the following statement on this long overdue action:

“Rep. Paulsen has refused to meet with his constituents for more than 6 years – a core responsibility of an elected official – and is only doing a town hall now that he is in the political fight of his life against Dean Philips. Unfortunately for Paulsen, he has spent the last year voting to take away healthcare and give a huge tax handout to large corporations and the wealthy at the expense of middle class families. Minnesotans look forward to the opportunity to hold him accountable at his upcoming town halls, and at the ballot box this November.”
