A new report estimates that Arizona stands to lose a staggering $33.1B in health care spending due to House Republicans’ Tax Scam budget, legislation that could have been stopped had any of Arizona’s Republican Congressmen – including David Schweikert, Eli Crane, or Juan Ciscomani – voted no.
Analysis conducted by the Urban Institute shows that Arizona would be the 9th hardest hit state in overall health care spending cuts.
It has also been reported that Republicans’ Tax Scam could “have devastating effects on rural hospitals” across Arizona, jeopardizing access to care for both individuals on Medicaid and those on private insurance and raising insurance costs for all Arizonans.
DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Vulnerable Arizona Republicans David Schweikert, Eli Crane, and Juan Ciscomani sided with their party bosses to gut Medicaid in order to fund tax cuts for billionaires. Report after report shows that their vote will have devastating consequences for Arizona families and hospitals – and voters will hold them accountable next November.” |
