Despite bipartisan image, Fitzpatrick has taken $1.3M from GOP leaders
- But despite his reputation of bipartisanship, Fitzpatrick has accepted more than $1.3 million in campaign donations from Republican leadership and other right-wing donors throughout his career.
- Federal Election Commission filings show the five-term congressman has accepted donations tied to House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-Louisiana, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-Louisiana, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minnesota, the National Republican Congressional Committee and the GOP-aligned Congressional Leadership Fund.
- More than three-quarters of those contributions have come in recently. Republican leadership committees and allied organizations have contributed more than $1 million to Fitzpatrick’s reelection campaign since the start of 2025 alone, according to FEC records.
