REPORT: Jen Kiggans’ Support for Iran War Has Cost Average Household $450 More on Gas and Energy

American families have shelled out $450 more per-household in energy expenses thanks to vulnerable Congresswoman Jen Kiggans’ support for a war of choice in Iran.

According to Moody’s Analytics, Republicans’ reckless war has “cumulatively cost American consumers nearly $60 billion as gas prices and airline fares have surged” and, “if prices stay at current levels, the average household could take a hit of almost $2,000 at the one-year mark of the war.”

REMINDER: The Virginia Mercury uncovered previously unreported audio of Kiggans on The John Fredericks Show saying that she “couldn’t be a stauncher supporter” of the war in Iran even as gas prices skyrocket across Virginia. The audio also reveals that Kiggans is more concerned about her own reelection chances than she is about Virginia families, saying during the interview: “We need that to come down before the midterms.”

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Jen Kiggans lied to Virginians’ faces when she promised she would lower costs. Voters will hold her accountable at the ballot box in November.”
