| Over six months into the Trump administration and Republican-controlled Congress, the U.S. economy is reeling.
Yet House Republicans left work early last month, refusing to deliver a single piece of legislation to lower the high cost of living.
House Republicans voted to protect Trump’s chaotic tariff hikes from Congressional oversight – awarding the out of control president full authority to crash the economy in real-time and hurt everyday Americans.
In fact, the only meaningful ‘accomplishment’ from the Republican majority is the most unpopular law of the 21st century that strips health care and food assistance from everyday Americans to bankroll tax breaks for billionaires.
The American people are clearly feeling the pain. A new AP-NORC poll finds the vast majority of U.S. adults are stressed about the cost of groceries as prices continue to rise.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“The so-called moderate House Republicans promised to lower the high cost of living, but instead they’ve made everything worse and working families are suffering because of them.” |
