REPORT: Ryan Mackenzie’s Support for Iran War Has Cost Average Household $450 More on Gas and Energy

American families have shelled out $450 more per-household in energy expenses thanks to vulnerable Congressman Ryan Mackenzie’s support for a war of choice in Iran.

According to Moody’s Analytics, Republicans’ reckless war has “cumulatively cost American consumers nearly $60 billion as gas prices and airline fares have surged” and, “if prices stay at current levels, the average household could take a hit of almost $2,000 at the one-year mark of the war.”

REMINDER: As a candidate for Congress, Mackenzie promised to lower costs and said “I’m very concerned that we’ve been engaging ourselves in too many forever wars over the past 20 years, spending trillions of dollars and getting entangled into these conflicts needlessly.” But now that he is in Washington, Mackenzie has been a rubber-stamp for Donald Trump and supports a war that is spiking prices at the pump.

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Career politician Ryan Mackenzie lied to Pennsylvanians when he promised he would lower costs and spend money here at home. Mackenzie is directly responsible for skyrocketing gas and energy prices that are hitting hardworking Lehigh Valley families in their wallets.”
