| New reports detail how Congressman Scott Perry voted to slash an estimated $20 billion in Medicaid funding for Pennsylvania hospitals and health clinics, putting multiple facilities at risk of closure.
Pennsylvania Capital-Star reports that the historic cut Perry voted for “dwarfs the funding the state hopes to get under the Rural Health Transformation Plan” – the bandaid program that Perry has been deceptively touting despite the fact that it “doesn’t compare to projected Medicaid loss” caused by his so-called ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’
And Spotlight PA reports that “a recent analysis commissioned by the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania […] estimates that a dozen more facilities could close over the next five years” because of Perry’s vote.
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Pennsylvania hospitals and health clinics are getting stripped for parts and could shutter because of Congressman Scott Perry. He’s unleashed a health care crisis on Central PA, and he cannot use a band-aid to paper over it.”
