Alexis McGill Johnson: “Dave understands that reproductive rights are human rights, and he has the courage and conviction to stand up to any anti-abortion politicians who believe otherwise in Washington”
This week, Planned Parenthood Action Fund endorsed California State Senator Dave Min to defeat Scott Baugh this November.
President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Action Fund Alexis McGill Johnson espoused Min’s leadership and advocacy towards the advancement of reproductive rights and abortion access in California. As a State Senator, Min was a key player in legislation enshrining abortion rights in the California Constitution.
Meanwhile, Scott Baugh has stated that he openly opposes reproductive freedoms, and is closely tied with far-right extremists who fundamentally oppose abortion rights.
DCCC Spokesperson Dan Gottlieb:
“Dave Min fought to enshrine abortion rights in California’s Constitution, while Scott Baugh has gone on record time and time again openly opposing reproductive freedoms. The choice for Californians is clear, and Min’s endorsement by the leading advocates for reproductive rights is only further proof. In Congress, Dave will fight to protect abortion rights nationwide and stop anti-choice extremists like Scott Baugh from making our laws.”
