In the wake of the draft Supreme Court decision that would end the right to an abortion and pave the way for a “likely” abortion ban in Indiana – potentially with no exceptions for rape, incest, or when the life of the mother is at stake – Jennifer-Ruth Green has made her extreme position clear.
Green is “unashamedly and unapologetically” “100% pro-life” and just last week doubled down on touting her support from far-right anti-choice groups including Indiana Right to Life and Susan B. Anthony List.
Green’s “100%” support for banning abortions means Hoosiers could lose the freedom to make their own health care decisions even in cases of rape, incest, and when the life of the mother is at risk – a position a “large majority of Hoosiers oppose.” It could mean making abortion a crime including putting women and doctors in jail.
“The stakes in this election could not be higher: Electing Jennifer-Ruth Green will put House Republicans one step closer to achieving their decades-long dream of ripping away women’s freedom to make their own decisions about their bodies and be a nightmare for Hoosier women,” said DCCC spokesperson Elena Kuhn.
