Republican Mike Flood Issues Challenge to Fellow House Republicans: “Put Yourself in the Town Square if You Want to Be a Member of Congress”

While vulnerable House Republicans avoid in-person town halls in an attempt to hide from their constituents, one of their own is calling them out and challenging them to face their voters.

This challenge comes after a contentious town hosted by Republican Congressman Mike Flood, where he said “concerns about cuts to Medicaid in the GOP’s ‘big, beautiful bill’ dominated” the event.

“And if you feel strongly about how you’re voting and the choices you’re making,” he added, “you should be able to stand on the town square and be accountable for those votes and tell people why you did it and take their input.” – Republican Congressman Mike Flood
