| New reporting from Axios shows what Democrats have been saying all along: Republican gains with Latino voters were fragile, and Republicans have already wasted their opportunity. Families are feeling the impacts of high costs, unaffordable health care, and Republican extremism. The Republican Party has only delivered chaos, and Latino families know Democrats are actually working for them.
More from Axios:
- Modeling shows “several GOP-drawn ‘safe’ districts could be competitive if recent Latino voting trends hold.”
- A slowing economy, unlawful ICE raids, and high prices are “jeopardizing inroads the GOP has made with Latinos.”
- “In 2025, Latino voters swung by double digit percentage points toward Democrats in New Jersey and Virginia.”
Even Latinos who voted Trump in 2024 are voicing their disapproval. A Pew Research Center survey from April reports that Trump’s approval with Latino voters who supported him is down a whopping 27 points since he took office.
DCCC Spokesperson Bridget Gonzalez:
“Republicans can keep spinning their narrative, but their Latino gains are gone — they were built on lies that have turned into countless broken promises. Latino and Hispanic voters see the ever-rising costs, the attacks on freedom, and the failure to deliver, which is why they’ll vote for Democrats in November.” |
