Republicans Are Ripping Health Care Away from Cancer Patients

As the Trump Administration moves to implement a trillion dollars’ worth of cuts to Medicaid, Republicans are plotting to rip health care away from as many people as possible – including chronically sick Americans

With the deep, harmful cuts from Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill now being implemented, it’s becoming crystal clear how cruel their legislation truly is and who they are targeting.

Recent reporting reveals that Republicans are ordering states across the country to rip health care away from chronically sick Americans – including those who have cancer or HIV – to comply with the Republican law.

One expert summarized to CNN what could happen to a patient impacted by the new, cruel rules:

“They’ll show up to chemo or show up for cancer surgery and find out they don’t have the coverage they need. Their lifesaving treatment will be taken from them.”

REMINDER: The DCCC is holding vulnerable Republicans accountable for the health care crisis they created, which will result in millions of Americans having their health care ripped away. In their obsession to pay for massive tax breaks for their billionaire backers, House Republicans’ support of the cuts to health care for millions of everyday Americans has made their vote for the Big, Ugly Bill a political albatross that will cost Republicans the House Majority.

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Trump and House Republicans passed the largest cut in history to the American health care system to pay for billionaire tax breaks, and now it’s being revealed that they are trying to rip health care away from cancer patients! Their vote for the Big, Ugly Bill will haunt vulnerable Republicans in November when the American people reject them at the ballot box.”
