A new analysis reveals how Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill will spike America’s utility bills for decades if their reckless policies are not undone.
The Associated Press reported on an analysis concluding that American households will pay thousands of dollars more in annual energy bills over the next two decades. Specifically called out was the slashing of clean energy tax credits passed by House Republicans in the Big, Ugly Bill and the Trump administration’s actions to stop wind, solar and hydrogen projects.
Energy experts also concluded that “Absent significant policy action, electricity prices likely will continue their significant rise over the next five years.”
DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“House Republicans have betrayed the American people with their price-spiking agenda that’s forcing hardworking families to pay higher and higher electricity bills. Voters know they can’t afford another two years of Republican rule, and will hold them accountable in November.”
