Republicans Fail to Deliver on Economic Promises for Latino Voters

“The administration has squandered this amazing lead they had with Latino voters”

Latino families continually cite the high cost of living as a top concern and Republicans fail to do anything about it.

Since Republicans took control of the government, the cost of living has skyrocketed. The Republican agenda is defined by reckless policies — like health care cuts and volatile tariffs that make goods more expensive — all of which disproportionately impact Latinos. And it’s all to fund billionaire tax cuts.

Now, Latinos’ wallets are about to take another hit. Over the weekend, the price of U.S. crude oil increased by 7% which will lead to another price hike for Americans at the pump. Already this year, gas prices have increased by 17%. By the end of this week, the price of gas could increase by 30 cents per gallon, with more increases to come.

DCCC Spokesperson Bridget Gonzalez:
“Latinos gave Republicans a chance in 2024, and now they have serious buyer’s remorse. When it comes to the issues that matter most — grocery prices, health care, economic opportunity — instead of offering any relief, Republicans have only made it worse.”
