Republicans Go All in on Extremism in NV-01

Race to the right heats up as NRCC jumps in messy NV-01 primary

The NRCC is scraping the bottom of the barrel with its latest additions to its “On the Radar” list of preferred candidates in NV-01: far-right conspiracy theorist Carolina Serrano and conservative activist David Brog.

Here are just some of the extreme positions that Republicans’ hand-picked candidates are known for:

  • Serrano wants to defund Nevada public schools, repeal the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and abolish the FBI.

  • Brog claims to be “fighting for the conservative principles of President Donald Trump’s America First agenda” – which includes attempting to overturn the 2020 election, cutting taxes for corporations and the wealthiest Americans, and making it harder for women to access safe, legal abortions.
