Reuters Spoke to Republicans in NJ-07. “More Than Half of Those Interviewed Said They Were Either Undecided or Leaning Toward Bennett.”

Vulnerable Republican Tom Kean Jr. is hemorrhaging support from his own base.

Reuters spoke to 17 Republican and independent voters in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District and found that “more than half of those interviewed said they were either undecided or leaning toward Bennett.”

It’s not just Kean Jr.’s votes for rising prices and devastating health care cuts that are dogging him on the campaign trail – it’s also his pattern of failing to show up for his own community.

Reuters reported that while grocery prices weighed heavily on many voters, complaints about Kean more often centered on his months-long disappearance.”

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Tom Kean Jr. is losing support from Republicans and Independent voters because he has established a pattern of putting himself first and New Jersey last. Kean Jr. plays the stock market and cashes checks from his wealthy donors while voting to make New Jersey families pay more at the grocery store and the gas pump. That’s not going to be a winning recipe in November.”
