New Hampshire Republicans have already fundraised with Rick Scott and welcomed him with open arms. Scott, the architect of the GOP mid-term agenda, wants to raise taxes on millions of Americans and sunset away essential programs like Social Security and Medicare.
Well, Scott’s back again today, headlining another NHGOP event.
Scott and Republicans in Washington have made clear what their plan is for America: raising taxes on millions of Social Security recipients and low-income Americans. It would also sunset programs like Social Security and Medicare, threatening benefits to Granite State seniors who depend on those programs.
A non-partisan analysis of the GOP plan to raise taxes on roughly 100 million Americans found:
-
Middle-income households would pay an average of $450 more in taxes.
-
Americans would pay more than $100 billion in federal income taxes in 2022 alone.
-
More than 80 percent of the tax increase would be paid by households making about $54,000 or less, and 97 percent would be paid by those making less than about $100,000.
James Singer, DCCC Spokesperson:
“Republicans in New Hampshire continue to embrace this draconian plan that aims to raise taxes on millions of Americans and strip away essential programs from seniors.”
