GOP candidate Kelly Cooper (AZ-04) continues to show his deep and undying loyalty is to former President Donald Trump, not Arizonans. This time, after the FBI’s execution of a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago, retweeting a post from Rep. Ronny Jackson that says: “WAKE UP! Joe Biden is using the FBI to go after President Trump!!”
Cooper’s spreading of baseless conspiracy theories is nothing new — in addition to attacking the motives and integrity of the FBI, he has consistently supported Trump’s contention that the 2020 election was stolen and has promised to seek the release of Jan. 6 insurrectionists on “day one.”
“Kelly Cooper’s relentless push of baseless conspiracy theories show how dangerous he would be in Congress,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson. “From wrongfully claiming there was widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election to today’s attack on the integrity of the FBI, Cooper is showing he’s wrong for Arizona.”
