How nervous are shady special interest groups and the billionaire Koch Brothers about Andy Tobin’s chances just one week out from the primary election? They’re rushing to prop his campaign up with last minute donations, television and radio advertisements – weeks after early voting began because his campaign is too broke to run his own ads.
“After running one of the most underwhelming campaigns in recent Arizona political history, it’s no surprise that shady special interest groups and the billionaire Koch Brothers are coming to Andy Tobin’s rescue,” said Tyrone Gayle of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Andy Tobin has spent his career currying favor from right-wing special interest groups and pushing for handouts to the ultra-wealthy – all paid for on the backs of Arizona seniors, women, and small businesses. Arizonans cannot afford his agenda.”

Robert Robb, Arizona Republic: Tobin has been the “Corporate Welfare King during his Tenure.”
The Legislature passed a bill (SB 1413), which Gov. Jan Brewer signed with great fanfare, exempting manufacturers from paying the state sales tax on electricity… But only three Republicans in the Senate voted against it and House Speaker Andy Tobin, who’s been the corporate welfare king during his tenure, banged it out of the House despite the opposition of a majority of his caucus.”
