Minority Leader McCarthy On His California Congressional Pal – See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil
Another week in Washington D.C., another week of mounting evidence against Rep. Devin Nunes’ abuse of power in Congress to do Trump’s political dirty work — including making the taxpayers foot the bill for his international conspiracy quest. Now this week, Nunes has been caught making multiple phone calls coordinating Trump’s defense with the criminally indicted Lev Parnas and Trump’s personal lawyer and bagman Rudy Giuliani.
When longtime Nunes friend and Minority Leader McCarthy was asked about Nunes’ highly suspicious actions, all McCarthy could muster was a See No Evil Defense, saying “it doesn’t raise me any concerns,” and “I don’t have a problem with Devin talking to individuals.”
Reminder, this is not the first time Rep. Nunes has gotten caught abusing his Intelligence Committee leadership chair.
“It’s shameful that Congressman Devin Nunes didn’t step aside during these impeachment hearings and alarming that Minority Leader McCarthy is happy to let his ranking members run wild. Congressman Nunes is clearly more than a bystander in President Trump’s scheme to pressure foreign governments to dig up dirt on political opponents and spout conspiracy theories in order to deflect from that fact, and yet McCarthy’s response is to shrug?” said DCCC Spokesperson Andy Orellana. “Congressman Nunes is not only wasting his constituents’ time and money, he is turning the entire Republican party into a caricature of Washington’s swamp.”
