| The local press is calling out Rob Bresnahan for running a TV advertisement using local news footage that “was altered to produce a different message than was originally reported.”
In his ad, Bresnahan edits the audio of a 28/22 News anchor to make it appear as if he said a different sentence than what was actually reported. 28/22 News reports that “the advertisement altered the original content and its intended meaning.”
Now local reporters – including the news anchor whose voice was altered – are stating that “ethics matter” and calling Bresnahan’s lies and deception “unacceptable and unforgivable.”
Will Bresnahan apologize and pull down his deceptively altered campaign ad?
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Rob Bresnahan has established a pattern of lying to Northeastern Pennsylvanians and proven he will say and do anything just to try and cling to power. This deceptively altered TV ad is beyond the pale. Bresnahan should pull down this ad and apologize for lying to his own constituents.”
