Rob Bresnahan Hit With Ethics Complaint From His Own Constituent Alleging Misuse of Taxpayer Funds

Rob Bresnahan has already made himself the poster child of Washington corruption by breaking his promise to ban congressional stock trading and instead becoming one of the most active traders in Congress.

Now, Bresnahan is in hot water once again as he faces an ethics complaint from his own constituent for potentially using taxpayer dollars on political advertising.

NOTUS reports:

“A constituent of Pennsylvania Republican Rep. Rob Bresnahan has filed a complaint with the independent Office of Congressional Conduct alleging that the congressman broke a federal law and violated House rules by airing an official communication as part of his campaign

Adriane Heine, of Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, is asking the office to investigate a taxpayer-funded promotional video that Bresnahan’s congressional office aired in July. She accuses Bresnahan’s campaign of also distributing the video as a political advertisement, according to the complaint, which NOTUS reviewed.”

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Washington corruption is costing Northeastern Pennsylvanians, and there are few worse offenders than Rob Bresnahan. Every new headline about Bresnahan’s corruption offers yet another reason for NEPA families to vote him out in November.”
