Yesterday, PA-17 Republican candidate Rob Mercuri sent out an exploitative fundraising email, using the 9/11 anniversary to solicit donations.
Mercuri remembered the innocent lives lost that day by stressing that the “fundraising deadline is fast approaching” and he needs people to “chip in $25 or $50 today.”
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“It’s disgusting that Rob Mercuri would fundraise off of the anniversary of 9/11 and the deaths of nearly 3,000 Americans. He should immediately apologize for his crude and inappropriate opportunism.”
