Despite trying to hide his anti-abortion agenda, recently discovered footage confirms Rob Mercuri is proud of the war he’s been waging on women’s rights.
In the video, Mercuri brags about his support for “great” anti-abortion legislation, claiming “it starts at conception.”
In the state legislature, Mercuri co-sponsored the near total six-week abortion ban that would punish doctors with up to seven years in prison. He also voted for a constitutional amendment that would ban the right to an abortion.
Mercuri’s campaign announcement last August was paired with a simultaneous attempt to scrub his anti-abortion record from his website.
Later in October Mercuri was also spotted at an anti-abortion rally, organized by a group whose goal is to “ultimately make abortion unthinkable.”
