Ryan Zinke Attacks Social Security and Abortion Rights

Today, Ryan Zinke voted to advance an extreme bill to the House floor that would harm women, seniors, and middle-class families.

Zinke passed new nationwide restrictions on reproductive health care, limiting contraception access and cancer screenings for 2.6 million Americans.

With this bill, Zinke is also attempting to gut abortion care for women in need of emergency, life-saving care – the same protections that were just challenged in the Supreme Court, marking a continuation of Zinke’s crusade to let Washington politicians like himself make health care decisions for women.

Additionally, Zinke’s bill would cut access to seniors’ hard-earned benefits by closing field offices, extending wait times, and delaying disability claims nationwide.

Zinke’s vote is an attack on women, seniors, and middle-class families in Montana and across the country.

DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Ryan Zinke is so desperate to ban abortion nationwide, he is willing to deny life-saving medical care to women who need it and make it harder for people to access critical Social Security benefits and health care. His support for this bill is an attack on women, seniors, and middle-class families and it will cost Zinke at the ballot box in November.”
