Yesterday, Ryan Zinke voted to advance yet another dangerous bill to the House floor, this time gutting support for rural families facing high costs.
Zinke’s bill would raise costs on rural families by cutting critical investments in their communities, including:
The USDA home loans program designed to help rural homebuyers, underfunding the program by 24%.
Eliminating grants for farm labor housing – hurting farmworkers and farmers.
Cuts USDA programs that help support relief from high energy costs by 90%.
Cuts water and waste grants to help families in rural areas access clean reliable drinking water, cutting the program by $35 million.
Zinke is hellbent on raising costs for working families nationwide.
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Ryan Zinke has clearly forgotten why Montanans sent him to Congress in the first place. Voters want leaders that actually deliver for them; Zinke is more interested in raising costs on food, utilities, housing, and other essentials.”
