Budget resolution explicitly calls for elimination of SALT
On Thursday, Speaker Ryan’s Republican Congress voted in support of the Senate-passed budget, which has one true purpose: pave the way to The Middle Class Double Tax while giving tax breaks to the rich and big multinational corporations.
“With this budget, House Republicans are officially on the record supporting a middle-class tax increase – something they’ll be forced to defend repeatedly in the midterms,” said DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law. “Speaker Ryan’s foolish decision to force his most vulnerable members to walk the plank on a toxic tax increase for a huge group of hardworking Americans has further imperiled his majority.”
