Santos sponsors legislation that would raise insulin prices for seniors and allow more guns around American families
With no committee hearings to attend, no invite to delegation meetings, skipping security briefings, and dodging his own constituents, George Santos is using his free time in Congress to sponsor dangerous far-right legislation that will hurt Long Islanders.
So far, Santos has sponsored exclusively Republican-led legislation, such as bills to:
Repeal the law that caps insulin costs for seniors
Allow more guns “near schools, national parks, federal facilities open to the public and on property open to the public”
Santos’ decision to primarily sponsor right-wing priorities despite his promise to “be a voice for everyone” shows Long Islanders what they’ve known for months: his word is no good.
DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“You would think someone as wildly unpopular as Santos would use what little power he has left to sponsor legislation his constituents actually support. Instead, Santos’ sponsorships fail to reflect his district’s priorities, and just show us he is as helpful as he is truthful.”
