Congressman John Katko just made a politically-calculated announcement – which could not be more shameless given that Katko had months to disavow Trump.
Katko refused to truly disavow Trump – not after Trump attacked a Gold Star family, insulting POWs, vowing to ban an entire religion from entering America, and now promoting sexual assault.
Let’s also not forget that Katko praised Trump earlier this year and said that he “has a lot of good principles.”
“Katko’s politically calculated decision at the eleventh hour isn’t based on anything more than a desperate and self-serving move to rescue his political career and distract from his own record of praising Trump,” said Bryan Lesswing the DCCC. “It’s not going to work.”
