Scott Perry Gets Ratioed for Falsely Claiming “We’re Winning The War On High Prices”

Fact check: “From groceries to gas, Americans say they’re spending more”

Stop us if you’ve heard this before: people are mad at Republican Congressman Scott Perry.

This time Perry is facing backlash online after he falsely claimed that, “We’re winning the war on high prices.”

It’s no wonder Perry is getting ratioed: A recent Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll shows that a majority of Americans say they are spending more on groceries and utilities than they were a year ago.

And Perry certainly isn’t “winning the war” on the high cost of health care. Perry is in favor of forcing Central Pennsylvanians to pay more on their health care premiums and said preventing skyrocketing costs would be a “colossal mistake.” Talk about out of touch.

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Scott Perry has completely lost touch with reality. Central Pennsylvanians can see with their own eyes that costs have gone up for groceries, health care, and utility bills, but Perry thinks that he’s ‘winning the war on high prices.’ It’s time for Perry to get out of Washington – voters will send him back to reality next November.”
