Scott Perry Is More Vulnerable Than Ever

PennLive: Rep. Perry named among top vulnerable congressional Republicans in new rankings

Scott Perry is on the run and facing the toughest race of his political career – and the latest House Power Rankings from the National Journal prove it.

PennLive reports that Perry was named as the “the fifth-most vulnerable GOP incumbent nationally” by the non-partisan race rater.

Perry is especially in danger after being outraised last quarter by Janelle Stelson, who “has already hit the ground running” campaigning across Central Pennsylvania.

  • A national political outlet has tapped Republican U.S. Rep. Scott Perry as one of the most vulnerable incumbents in this year’s midterm elections.
  • In its latest House Power Rankings, National Journal lists Perry, who represents the 10th Congressional District… as the second-most vulnerable House member in Pennsylvania.
  • Perry is the fifth-most vulnerable GOP incumbent nationally and the district is the 11th-most vulnerable overall to change parties.
  • “Despite Trump’s strong performance in Pennsylvania, Perry defeated Democrat Janelle Stelson by only about a point last cycle,” wrote National Journal. “[Stelson]’s back again and has already hit the ground running.”
  • The summary explained how Stelson, a former TV anchor, outraised Perry in the fourth quarter of 2025 and started 2026 “with about the same” available cash.
  • “Democrats are ready to invest heavily in the race and take advantage of Perry’s past controversies,” said the summary that included a link to a 2021 PBS article about Perry refusing to meet with the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection and efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
