DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“It is disgraceful that Scott Perry would use taxpayer dollars to pay a convicted insurrectionist who assaulted police officers with a flagpole on Jan. 6. He continues to be a national embarrassment and Pennsylvanians will kick him to the curb next November.”
Property records show that Congressman Scott Perry (R-York) leases two district offices in the Harrisburg area from Lowell Gates, who was arrested earlier this month for assaulting police officers during the Jan. 6 attack on the United States Capitol.
The Keystone was able to confirm that Perry’s offices in Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg were owned by Gates’ company, Linlo Properties.
Gates was charged with two felonies, including assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain offices using a dangerous weapon and obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder. He was also charged with three misdemeanors: entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building or grounds, and violent conduct in a Capitol building or grounds.
