Scott Perry Voted Against 140,000 Children and Their Families

Scott Perry Opposed Child Tax Credit Benefiting Nearly 87% of Children In PA-10

When Rep. Scott Perry had the chance to benefit more than 140,000 children in his district, he voted no.

Starting today, the Child Tax Credit, passed as part of the American Rescue Plan, will benefit roughly 39 million households and 88% of children.

In Perry’s district alone:

  • 140,600 children will benefit from this tax credit
  • 8,700 children will be lifted out of poverty
  • 46,800 households will benefit an average of $2,800 annually

James Singer, DCCC Spokesperson

“When it came time to decide between helping 140,000 children and partisan politics, Scott Perry chose the latter. As Perry joined Republicans in opposing this vital aid to families, Democrats delivered.”
