Two years ago, every single House Republican – including Scott Perry – voted against the Inflation Reduction Act and the expansion of the ACA subsidies that kept health care costs down.
If Perry and House Republicans had their way, they would let these subsidies expire and raise health care costs on roughly 20 million Americans – including roughly 20,000 people in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District.
Without the ACA subsidies, enrollees in PA-10 will pay roughly $2,430 more for health care, and approximately 3.4 million people would lose their health insurance nationwide.
Scott Perry and House Republicans have proposed numerous measures to raise health care costs, including raising the price of prescription drugs for 3.3 million people and privatizing Medicare.
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“Scott Perry has not only failed to lower health care costs for Pennsylvanians, but threatens to raise costs even further. Voters can see that Perry and House Republicans refuse to lift a finger to help them on pocketbook issues, and know they can never be trusted to deliver much-needed relief for Pennsylvanians.”
