This week the producers of the heavily edited Planned Parenthood videos were indicted and criminal allegations against Planned Parenthood were dropped.
Despite ample opportunity to defend one of the nation’s largest women’s health providers and stand up for a women’s right to choose, the three Republicans running in California’s 52nd District remain silent. It’s time for Jacquie Atkinson, Denise Gitsham, and John Horst to make their position on choice public.
Notably, Gitsham was endorsed by Congresswoman Mimi Walters, who has voted six times to defund Planned Parenthood. Gitsham has yet to confirm if she would do the same in Congress.
“Jacquie Atkinson, Denise Gitsham, and John Horst must come out of hiding and defend their positions on choice,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC. “San Diegans need to know if their member of Congress would protect access to women’s healthcare and defend a woman’s right to choose.”
