Scott Taylor’s Troubles Aren’t Going Anywhere Anytime Soon

Taylor’s Indignant as Investigation Continues

The saga continues…

When pressed by voters about his ongoing petition-gate scandal during a Facebook Live event, former Congressman Scott Taylor dismissively said: “I keep seeing all these indictments. I don’t have any indictments, there’s nothing. I’m not being investigated. I don’t know why you keep saying that over and over again. Some people, God Bless ya.”

This comes just a few short weeks after two of Scott Taylor’s former campaign staffers were in the spotlight, after one pled guilty to charges and another was indicted in the election fraud case surrounding Taylor’s 2018 reelection bid.

REMINDER: Special Prosecutor Don Caldwell said Taylor—while in his Washington D.C. office– directed his staff to collect signatures to get independent candidate Shaun Brown on the ballot in an attempt to swing the 2018 election. Taylor’s staffers then broke the law in collecting fraudulent petition signatures.

And according to Caldwell the investigations are still ongoing, saying, “at this point in time, what actually happened within the campaign headquarters is still a subject of investigation due primarily to the lack of cooperation of key individuals with the VSP investigator.”

That doesn’t quite line up with what Scott Taylor is trying to claim…

“Scott Taylor can try to escape his past, but eventually it will catch up to him,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett, “We’ve said it once, we’ll say it again: The same scandal that derailed Scott Taylor’s reelection bid in 2018 will end his retread campaign in 2020.”
