Today, the DCCC announced that Seth Magaziner has been added to its competitive ‘Red to Blue’ program , which arms top-tier candidates like Magaziner with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue to develop strong campaigns.
Seth Magaziner, Rhode Island’s general treasurer, is running to keep Rhode Island’s open Second Congressional District blue. As Rhode Island’s general treasurer, Seth invested in education, created over 28,000 jobs, and launched innovative clean energy financing programs that have helped build out solar, wind and climate resiliency projects – saving taxpayers money and reducing fossil fuel emissions.
In addition, Seth helped pass the Reproductive Privacy Act in 2019 that codified the protections of Roe v. Wade into state law, as well as common-sense gun measures like banning guns on school grounds and a red flag law to keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers.
This November, Seth will be facing off against MAGA puppet Allan Fung, who opposes abortion rights and be a rubber stamp for Kevin McCarthy’s MAGA agenda in Washington.
