Danny Tarkanian’s last-minute decision to abandon his US Senate campaign and run in Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District is the latest face of Republican desperation: Danny Tarkanain is desperate to get elected to something – anything really. And Speaker Ryan and Washington Republicans are desperate to hang onto their majority after their devastating loss in Pennsylvania. The result: Danny Tarkanian – after receiving promises of support from Heller and Trump – allowed himself to be bought out of one race and into another.
“This is just another shady deal from Danny Tarkanian,” said Drew Godinich, DCCC spokesperson. “Tarkanian is so desperate to get elected to literally anything that he’s allowed Donald Trump and Dean Heller to buy off what little integrity he had to begin with. Voters in Nevada’s Third Congressional District are all too familiar with Danny Tarkanian’s shady business practices and we’re confident they’ll reject him again in November.”
And when it comes to Danny Tarkanian’s shady record, don’t just take our word for it. Dean Heller’s said plenty. However, as a result of what was almost certainly one of the terms of the deal, Sen. Heller’s team has already scrubbed their Anti-Tarkanian content from their website. Luckily, the internet lives forever.
