Pennsylvania House Republicans are blocking $151 million in state funding to the University of Pittsburgh over fetal tissue research that aims to combat and cure some of our most devastating diseases, including cancer, Alzheimer’s, ALS, and Parkinson’s.

Shaffer, who has openly supported overturning Roe v. Wade and signaled support for a constitutional amendment to restrict abortion access nationwide, has also said this research should be prohibited.
