Shannon Taylor Hauls in More Than $525K, Has $800K COH As Momentum Builds to Unseat Rep. Rob Wittman

In case you missed it: Henrico County’s top prosecutor Shannon Taylor just posted an absolutely dominant fundraising haul in the first quarter of 2026.

Taylor announced that her campaign raised over $525,000 in the first quarter of 2026 and has more than $800,000 COH.

The surge in momentum behind Taylor comes as her opponent, vulnerable Congressman Rob Wittman, faces scrutiny in the press for voting to slash taxes on his triple decker beach house in the Outer Banks. Wittman reportedly “could personally save up to an eyewatering $60,000 a year – thanks to his eight-bedroom beach rental.”

In February Taylor was added to the DCCC’s Red to Blue list, a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue building winning campaigns.

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Virginians are souring on career politician Rob Wittman, who has spent nearly two decades in Washington enriching himself while hurting his own community. Shannon Taylor will prosecute the case and win in November.”
