Does Sheriff Scott Jones Support Keeping Guns Out of the Hands of Terror Suspects?

Sacramento voters deserve to know if Sheriff Scott Jones thinks FBI terror suspects should be permitted to purchase guns. Jones should end his silence and say if he would support legislation closing the terrorist gun loophole.

The bipartisan Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act would close the loophole that has been exploited in the past by terror suspects who have legally purchased guns and explosives. According to federal data over 2,000 suspects on the terrorist watch list purchased weapons in the U.S. in the last 11 years.

“Sheriff Scott Jones says he wants to represent Sacramento in Congress, but he hasn’t said a word about what he would do to keep guns out of the hands of terrorists,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC. “Sacramento voters can only assume Jones will fall in step with House Republicans and do nothing to address this dangerous loophole.”
