| After being “embroiled in an intraparty health care fight that could hinder [his] reelection campaign,” and left “powerless” in negotiations, David Valadao is once again proving that when it matters most, he falls in line with MAGA Mike Johnson and the worst of his party’s extreme, health care-wrecking agenda.
Valadao has FAILED to put forth any serious solution to force a vote extending Affordable Care Act credits, as Johnson has left him out to dry. Now, Californians will face an average 122% spike in their health care premiums in the new year.
POLITICO reports, “Valadao was among dozens of Republicans who lost their seats in 2018 after [he] tried to repeal Obamacare. He declined to say in an interview Monday how he would vote on the leadership-backed health bill.”
REMINDER: Valadao cast a deciding vote on the largest cut to Medicaid in history – ripping away health care from over 68,000 of his constituents. He has voted at least 30 times to cripple, defund, or change the Affordable Care Act.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“David Valadao always folds. He can posture around Washington all he wants, but it’s the Central Valley he has to answer to for skyrocketing their costs and ripping away health care from countless families. Valadao’s record is clear, and will be indefensible next November.” |
