Following today’s announcement on the first set of drugs to be subject to Medicare pricing negotiation thanks to the Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act, Mariannette Miller-Meeks is making it clear she prioritizes Big Pharma over Iowa families.
Shot: Miller-Meeks has taken nearly $130,000 from BigPharma and voted against the Inflation Reduction Act – historic legislation that lowers the cost of prescription drugs and caps the cost of insulin at $35 per month.
Chaser: Now, Miller-Meeks is actively advocating against allowing Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices and decrease costs for hard working Iowans.
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks would rather protect Big Pharma’s profits than lower the cost of lifesaving drugs for Iowa families. Iowans deserve a representative who works for them, not the lobbyists and corporate interests who bankroll their campaigns.”
