This horrible bill would punish DREAMers regardless of DACA status, create a heavily armed mass deportation force, legalize racial profiling in communities of color, and lead to detentions of U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other legal non-citizens. But this isn’t the first time Darrel Issa has gone after law-abiding immigrants. In 2010, Issa co-sponsored a bill that would’ve ended birthright citizenship.
“House Republicans are shameless when it comes to lying about their stances on immigration reform, and Congressman Darrell Issa is no exception,” said Javier Gamboa of the DCCC. “Republicans are dead wrong if they believe that they can get away with their immoral anti-immigrant agenda.
