Six Months Into Iran War, Reminder That Ryan Mackenzie Wiped His Website to Remove Broken Campaign Promise

REPORT: Mackenzie “quietly overhauled his campaign website to scrub MAGA talking points, including a reference to ‘forever wars.’”

Today marks six months since the start of the Ryan Mackenzie-backed war in Iran that has no end in sight, and is forcing Lehigh Valley families to pay record August gas prices at the pump. No wonder public support for the war just hit a new low this week.

It’s also a reminder that Mackenzie “quietly overhauled his campaign website to scrub MAGA talking points,” including his previous opposition to “forever wars.” Now, Mackenzie’s “updated webpage has wiped out mentions of the word ‘war’” entirely.

It’s all part of a pattern for Mackenzie, who has repeatedly been caught telling lies to Lehigh Valley voters about who he is and his true positions.

As a candidate, Mackenzie explicitly said he would oppose bombing Iran. Today? He has clearly changed his tune.

Mackenzie can try as hard as he wants to hide his real record, but Pennsylvanians still deserve to know: Why does Ryan Mackenzie keep voting to continue the war in Iran?

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
Ryan Mackenzie campaigned on a promise to lower costs and invest here at home, but instead he is shipping Pennsylvanians’ tax dollars overseas on a war in Iran that has made everything more expensive. He is so desperate to cover up his broken promises that he even scrubbed his campaign website to try and paper over his real record. Lehigh Valley voters will hold him accountable in November.”
